From 28th to 30th March, the ‘#Sustainable Good Collection #New Energy Vehicle Tailgate Eco Bazaar’ debuted in Shenzhen Star River WORLD-COCO Park Star Plaza. This innovative practice of integrating green technology, circular economy and public welfare temperature, with ESG (Environment, Society, Governance) as the core, through the three dimensions of new energy vehicle exhibition, low carbon interaction, public welfare co-creation, to build a high-value scenario for the public to participate in the sustainable development, and to inject a new kinetic energy of green civilisation into the city.
The event is guided by Shenzhen City Management and comprehensive law enforcement Bureau and Shenzhen Ecological Environment Bureau, and hosted by Shenzhen Domestic Waste Classification Management Affairs Centre, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co.,limited, ESG GBA Sustainable Growth Promotion Association, and E-STAR COMMERCIAL, in conjunction with Ping An Bank, the four major sustainable environmental protection enterprises and institutions (Super Crab, Langkun Bio- and Anrejie Environmental Protection, and the Getting Better Helping Service Centre for the Disabled), Six new energy vehicle brands (Tesla,ZEEKR, NIO, VOYAH, ROX).
New Energy Vehicle Exhibition: Driving the Green Mobility Revolution
The event brought together six major new energy vehicle companies to create a ‘mobile ESG pavilion’ with a car boot bazaar as the carrier. Through interesting interactions, the concept of sustainable living was conveyed. Participants can get ‘low carbon coins’ in the bazaar and exchange them for rich gifts and participate in low carbon interaction. These interactive experiences not only let participants feel the fun of environmental protection, but also let them learn how to practice the concept of sustainable development in their daily lives.
Circular Economy Booths: Making Sustainability ‘Playable and Transportable’
A number of tailgate bazaars were set up on site to turn ESG concepts into fun productivity. For example, at the ZEEKR Automotive ‘Coffee Dregs Potted Plant’, participants could make potted plants with coffee grounds and experience the resourcefulness of industrial by-products; at the ‘Super Crab’ booth, the environmental organisation Super Crab continued to innovate in its exploration, using fishing nets, industrial plastics and other wastes to hatch a variety of sports equipment, which further broadened the boundaries of sustainable living. The most popular activity is the ‘Books for Vegetables’ campaign - the public donates unused books in exchange for carbon credits, and the books are sterilised and sent to rural schools by the ‘Green Stage Books’ project, realising the dual values of knowledge recycling and education equity.
Public Welfare Empowering Ecology: Making Low-Carbon Economy Warmer
The event has deeply connected with social welfare and built an ESG value community. 50% of the proceeds from the ‘Better and Better’ bazaar were donated to projects to help people with disabilities. This ‘business for good’ model makes every purchase a booster for inclusive social development, and confirms the deep integration of environmental responsibility and social governance in the ESG concept. Practising social responsibility and delivering warmth and care through practical actions.
Through the three-dimensional model of ‘New Energy Vehicle Exhibition + Low Carbon Life Experience + Public Welfare Value Co-creation’, the event allows ESG concepts to break through the framework of corporate reporting, and transforms them into perceptible, participatory, and communicable public actions, building a new energy ecological circle culture. ‘This is not only a market, but also a door to a green future.’ We invite you to join us on this journey of enlightenment towards sustainable living, and witness how every small action converges into a world-changing energy field.
As the organiser of this event, CATL, as a new energy technology practitioner, has integrated the dual-carbon strategy into the urban fabric - using power battery technology to drive the transformation of green mobility, activating the potential of carbon reduction in consumption scenarios with the thinking of circular economy, and constructing the ecology of social value co-creation with the practice of ESG. This not only shows the responsibility of the enterprise as a ‘forerunner’ of the carbon neutral process, but also transforms the concept of sustainability into an accessible paradigm of public action, injects the inexhaustible power of science and technology for the construction of the city, and replies to the proposition of the times with cutting-edge explorations: the kinetic energy of green development is lighting up the future through the resonance of every enterprise and individual.
